As a teenager, I found comfort in learning about science and technology. Their vast scope, countless applications, and unique way of depicting reality sparked my fascination. However, I became concerned with the diminishing focus on science within my surroundings. As the first in my family to pursue science, I felt compelled to raise awareness globally about STEM skills’s profound impact on our lives. From small everyday uses like stationery to solving deadly diseases like COVID-19 and monumental achievements like moon landings, STEM workshop serves as the foundation for progress. I want to inspire the youth to embrace STEM education and become pioneers in scientific advancement.
It worries me deeply that many young people from low-income backgrounds abandon dreams of a scientific career due to financial constraints or never dream of it at all. That’s why I created STEMspire. Our organization’s mission is to generate awareness about STEM education and STEM subjects—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—showcasing their real-world importance, career potential, and integration with the arts, regardless of students’ socioeconomic backgrounds. We’ve impacted approximately 2,500 people through workshops emphasizing STEM’s intersection with everyday life and its critical role in global industries. Our sessions inspire students to explore career options related to STEM fields beyond traditional fields, encouraging them to think innovatively and embrace the transformative power of STEM workshop.

STEMspire primarily targets middle and high school students and is designed to make STEM education both engaging and informative. Our STEM workshops incorporate group discussions, Q&A sessions, interactive videos that make learning fun, inclusive and focused on building critical STEM skills. This peer-learning environment allows students from diverse backgrounds to discuss their future, building mutual understanding and inspiration. My mentorship skills have grown tremendously since leading these stem workshops, and it’s especially rewarding to see participants like those from Hapur applying their STEM skills to spread the word about cybersecurity within their communities helping raise awareness among locals of all ages.
Our collaborations with schools like Mokalbari Model TE School in Assam and Smt. Brahmadevi School in Hapur and partnerships with organizations like iDreamCareer enable us to expand our outreach and promote STEM education while offering mentorship on career opportunities in our STEM workshops. Through these initiatives, we help students develop essential STEM skills that prepare them for future challenges and innovations. A special thanks to my mother, Ms. Niti Aggarwal, who has supported STEMspire tirelessly by managing logistics, audiovisual setups, and social media. Her dedication has been instrumental in our success.
STEMspire welcomes volunteers who are passionate about hosting workshops and supporting logistics.
