That’s what I believe in.

I’m Divij Gupta, a passionate explorer of science and ideas, currently navigating the journey of Grade 12 at Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun. Though I hail from Delhi, boarding school has shaped me in ways beyond academics—teaching resilience, independence, and the joy of
learning through community.

My spirit is as boundless as my curiosity for science. From exploring the mysteries of the cosmos to digging into the elegance of mathematical proofs, I thrive on crossing intellectual frontiers. Whether it was learning advanced calculus as an eighth grader or later qualifying for the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad, I’ve always been drawn to challenges that stretch my thinking.

Beyond academics, I believe in giving science a voice. Be it through fiery debates, the strategic world of Model United Nations, or STEMspire—an initiative I founded to spark awareness about STEM and its impact—I work to share ideas that matter. My journey has also taken me from research internships at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, where I worked on climate modeling for farmers, to self-directed projects like designing a Martian rover for resource extraction and exploring the depths of group theory and hyperbolic geometry.

Creativity fuels this drive. Programming languages let me build new projects, while playing the piano teaches me flow and patience. Writing, too, has become a cornerstone of who I am—my published book being one way I’ve sought to put thoughts into the world.

I currently take up space and make noise in New Delhi, India where I share my life with my mom, who has raised me to be an opportunist, dedicated, adaptable and driven to building on my future. I am extremely grateful for her support and commitment to making my life shine!
